Well maintained park with musical instrument displays and playground equipment. Some picnic tables, charcoal grill and a gas grill food preparation table near Pavillion.
Restrooms open sunup till sundown.
This park was created after a couple saw their two daughters killed in a horrible accident. It features play equipment designed to be used by everyone including some wheelchair accessible features.
There are some fun music instruments, along with things to climb in and on.
Often, the lending library has books for kids to read.
I love the fact that this is a memorial to Anna and Abby. I do wish however that some of the old playground equipment would have been retained. There's not really much to do for toddlers. There are no swings that are appropriate for them. And much of the activity structures we're not replaced with an equal counterpart.
That being said I love the creativity and the space, and that it is very thoughtful for those with disabilities. But, it removes a lot of what Rogers Park represented to its local patrons. Still definitely worth a visit, just not a long visit if you have smaller children.
I used to take my son hear he loves the play ground... but the park is not as good as it was when I was a kid but Children still have fun...
Such a fun park. The merry go round is a favorite of ours. And the library has been hosting really cool events (puppets, magic show, etc) during the summer. Very cool place
