“The start of the trail is well marked. The route does not match what is shown on Google Maps. See the photo of the map. The trail begins in a woodland area along a marsh where we see a variety of birds. We saw a shrew once. The entire trail except for the farm roads is mulched. The trail reaches a gravel farm road. There is a sign directing to the right on the road. The road to the left is posted closed to the public. The next sign indicates straight or to the right for Dabblers Marsh Loop Trail. If you go straight it is the last sign for a while. Following the farm road there is hedgerow on the left and farm fields on the right, so no shade for a while. If you continue on the farm road it eventually ends in a field, so you need to look for an unmarked side road on the right. There is now a map posted where you turn on the Loop Trail. No directional signs for people who are map challenged. If you are taking the loop clockwise, turn right at the map. If counterclockwise, turn left at the map. If you are going clockwise and get to the RV storage lot with cyclone fencing on the left you just passed it. There are bird nesting boxes on posts along this road. It will take you to a mulched trail on the right. Once you go back into the woodland signs are posted again. The mulched trails will get you back to the intersection with the farm road. This section has song birds, rabbits and garter snakes.”

“I love the fact that this is a memorial to Anna and Abby. I do wish however that some of the old playground equipment would have been retained. There's not really much to do for toddlers. There are no swings that are appropriate for them. And much of the activity structures we're not replaced with an equal counterpart. That being said I love the creativity and the space, and that it is very thoughtful for those with disabilities. But, it removes a lot of what Rogers Park represented to its local patrons. Still definitely worth a visit, just not a long visit if you have smaller children.”

“Meagan is absolutely incredible! We had our small elopement at her venue. She helped with day of coordination and helped make it a day we will always remember. The venue is absolutely stunning. Everything is perfect and breathtaking. Meagan is a gem, she is the sweetest human. Her horses are beautiful and were so friendly. Our day was perfect in every way and Meagan played a big part in making our dreams become a reality. I recommend using Highland Fields as your venue 1000% and make sure you hire Meagan as your day of coordinator!! You won’t regret it!”

“Perfect for shorter walks or loop around the ponds and make a longer route of it. No dogs or bikes so it’s a great place for little ones to go and feel like they are on a grand hike. Excellent for bird watching and Very scenic. Shaded gazebo look out points for observing the nature and benches to rest on. Wide flat paths, gravel and dirt pack in most places. Peaceful.”

“A lot of parking along the street and nearby at the school. Good playground structure with 3 slides. We had a lot of fun on the mary-go-round and swing set. There is also a baseball field adjoining the play area. Good family park!”

“This park is a nice one and the grass is kept up. There’s a small winter area (see picture with the bark), a larger small dog area, and a big open area for the mixed doggos. Inside the large mixed dog area is agility equipment. I do see people bring their kiddos and they have something to play on too! There’s plenty of water available, trash cans/bag stations are provided and close enough to where you’re not having to walk outside the park or trek however long to a trash. There’s plenty of parking. There’s also a baseball field and nature trails right outside the dog areas. There aren’t really paths (paved or dirt), but the parking lot is paved, walk to the park is paved, and there’s the area under the gazebo thing that’s paved (James in the pic is lying on it). I will note- I do find a lot of people at this particular location with intact dogs, more so than other parks we have been to. James gives it the paws up!”

“It's definitely fun for the kids! We love playing basketball at Bard Park!! The playground keeps the littles interested as well! Perfect spot for a boy mom to engage in a little sport fun, yet my daughter and I have fun at the play ground and kick the soccer ball and play Frisby and catch for some sport fun too! Perfect for the family! Love it! ❤️”
