This gym is a Christian based gym located on the top floor of a church that makes any new member feel welcomed with open arms. It’s not like other boxing gyms where other members or even staff look at you like another customer or simply as an inexperienced boxer not worth their time. If your looking to learn the basics of boxing, want a killer workout, or even want to get into competitive boxing this is the gym for you! I’ve been different gyms around Portland and none compare to the experience I have had here at Sunrise Boxing.

Love going to this place. I have no boxing experience but that is no issue here, I feel so welcomed.

Sonrise boxing is an effective community outreach, touching lives and building healthy relationships in the community through boxing. It is the volunteer coaches with hearts of gold who really help impact these young men and women strictly on a donation basis. I am writing this letter in support of Sonrise Boxing. I, myself, struggle with anxiety and depression that can be debilitating at times and I find relief through the workout I get at Sonrise. Also I noticed that there is great emotional and wellness support from the coaches for all that attend.

To summarize, Sonrise boxing is a light in the Washington County area of Portland, changing lives weekly by offering free classes with a family oriented mindset, whatever it takes.

In conclusion, the heart of the coaches is to provide the best service for their team and Sonrise boxing is in great need of financial support to carry on this community outreach. Thank you for your consideration. Come and be treated like Family ☺️👀

Wonderful experience. My son, daughter, brother, and myself all have participated in the workouts. The coaches and team are amazing. They value not only the physical aspects of their team, but emotional and spiritual as well- no pressure to be affiliated with any church or denomination though. Come as you are!
