Red Hills Market

Had a takeout breakfast from here today; spouse ordered the breakfast burrito and I got the breakfast sandwich. Both were **excellent** — the bacon in the sandwich was cooked just right for a sandwich application (not too chewy) and the egg was cooked just as I had ordered - over medium. The burrito was outstanding: the carnitas were excellent, the beans were silky, and the lightly pickled red onion really elevated/balanced the whole thing.

Both the sandwich and the burrito were a bit drippy/juicy — see aforementioned over-medium egg — so be prepared if you plan to eat in the car. (We ate ours at our rental house.)

The food was ready for pickup about 15m after I placed the order. The online order interface is straightforward, and allows some order customization. I appreciate that they limit the menu to what travels well, though the in-house menu looks amaze. I look forward to eating in the restaurant when COVID case levels come back down.

The Red Hills Market in Dundee is the perfect starting point for an Oregon wine tasting tour. The one thing you need to do is allow yourself a little bit a time as this special lunch experience is very popular, plus they take the time to create excellent dishes. As you work your way through the line to the counter for your order you will be overwhelmed with the amount of sights and smells from the surrounding shelves. I would strongly recommend the tuna melt which sounds pretty pedestrian but it has great flavor and a very hearty lunch that quite honestly you can split.

This place is delightful. They have super yummy food, I highly recommend the tuna melt and the butternut squash soup for dine in. Just be prepared if you come for lunch to wait in line. We waited about ten minutes but we found a table after we ordered and paid right away. This is really a delightful place to stop and enjoy lunch.
