“I drove past the location on Tualatin Sherwood hwy for years and never stopped in. Now that my delivery route has me in Hillsboro and I’ve been hoping to update my floors for awhile I stopped into the Hillsboro location. I told the guy I wasn’t ready to buy yet and I was expecting to receive the typical sales guy push or no information at all. Kevin was absolutely amazing, he talked me out of cheap pergo like stuff I’d been looking at (Home Depot) and into a beautiful hardwood that is pet scratch friendly. Kevin was so professional even though he knew that I wouldn’t be buying until the spring/summer and even dropped off a sample at my parents house on his way home from work so I could take a look. I’m extremely excited for my new floors in a few months and I can’t wait to ask for Kevin (not sure if they are on commission or not, sign of a great sales person if you don’t know right!)”

“Bathroom Surface Solutions did an amazing job on my bathroom. My bathroom sink is very unique - the entire base is stainless but sink is really tiny and white ceramic. The sink had multiple cracks near the drain. I couldn't find another small sink to replace it so I decided to resurface it instead. They resurfaced the sink and also the corner shelves in my shower. Both look amazing! Bright white and shiny. I also appreciated that they were on time, friendly and worked efficiently. Great company!!”

“Antique stores are not normally my bag, but my partner loves them, so I've been to several in various states. For stuff I would want, this is the best: vinyl records (tons of them at almost every vendor's area), cassette tapes, CDs, books, action figures. I ended up buying about 9 CDs, 3 tapes, and 2 LPs (one, a picture disc! the other a double-LP documenting a three-day 1979 music event in Havana, Cuba, featuring Weather Report, Irakere, Stephen Stills, Fania All-Stars, a smoking fusion of santería batá and jazz, CBS Jazz Allstars, Orquesta Aragon, Kris Kristofferson (!), Sara Gonzales, and "TRIO OF DOOM" which was Jaco, Tony Williams, and John McLaughlin melting your face off). The CDs I got include the Notwist, The Roots, Gil Scott-Heron, Consolidated, Bad Religion, PUBLIC ENEMY, Amon Tobin, and ANTHRAX. There was much more I wanted... A very interesting thing: Every stall that had tapes had _multiple_ albums by Icehouse. ... I've only ever heard one song by Icehouse and that was back in 1982. How did an average of four Icehouse tapes end up at so many antique stalls at the same time?!”

Derrick has a great ear & positive aura and the space lends itself to an atmospheric NYC Rick Rubin vibe, almost like a visit to a psychologist. Great work came out of time with Derrick at PUR, fixing subpar vocal tracks and sometimes miraculously seeing a song for the original vision, and if you’re a recording artist I recommend booking time here. “Wow just WOW!! I LOVED my shopping exploration here. Skeptical at first from the outdoor view, but once inside, I knew I had stepped into an authentic antique shop full of treasures and delights! I barely made it inside the door before I began making my pile of selections to soon be mine. Not a huge building, but every nook and cranny was creatively utilized to make beautiful displays while maintaining organization. Great finds awaited me around every corner. The prices were always reasonable too! I also really enjoy understanding the vibe of every Antique shop I visit ( which is a lot of Antique shops all across Oregon), and this one felt felt positive and vibrant due to the interaction of active vendors and the truly colorful owner. I felt welcomed and engaged and never got that "snooty" feeling of condescension you may get at some establishments. I will absolutely be back to shop more. In a nutshell, I just had a fun time from start to finish, an overall A++ experience!”
