We were greeted by the owner/chef and he recommended to us the February special called the Cupid. “I had spring rolls and chicken teriyaki. The spring rolls were perfectly cooked. The server and even the owner checked on us and how we liked our meal. The owner went out of his way to make sure he cooked the sauces in the way we liked it. He really cares about his business and his personal touch to the food. I also got vegetables along with the chicken and rice which were extremely good. I love vegetables and they were cooked with exactly the right texture. The ginger salad dressing was really tangy and clearly made on site. The atmosphere is really cute and has a beautiful Japanese painting on the wall.”

When I walked in, the women at the register greeted me by name (even though this was my first time there), smiled, and handed me my order. Sommelier did a great job matching a bottle to the food and our tastes. Chef came out to confirm we were enjoying ourselves, which was nice. The food kept coming and the only “negative” was there was more of it than we could eat. Come hungry! Would recommend to anyone wanting a world class meal in a charming and off the beaten path location with history and a story to tell. Will be back next time we are in Dundee.”

The tortillas on the tacos were fire nice and crispy, the asada was alright but kinda soggy( I prefer mine on the crispier side) over all tacos were good. The nacho cheese and crema plus jalapeños toppings and pico the gallon hit the spot. The chips were on point and didn’t seem to get soggy. The steak still hit the spot even tho it’s a little soggier. There’s better places to get the birria from tho. Horchata and agua de Jamaica were ok point. They had salsa se chile en una olla on the table which was fire. Both green and red salsa was 🔥 they also give u grilled onions and a spicy chili toriado. The homie at the register was cool 😎”

They made every effort to make sure my date and I were satisfied with our time there. The food was delicious and arrived quickly. Having tried all of the above at many excellent Szechuan restaurants, we believe everything was excellent except the fish, which was very good but not the best we’ve had. One suggestion (which does not affect this review) is if they can keep a couple of dessert options on the menu. Overall, worth it!”
