This hotel and staff are fabulous! They helped us through some of our own travel complexities and booked us in a wonderful room, for two nights. Staff was professional, courteous and a pleasure to work with. They recommended eateries and stores for us to visit. Pool is great and better than many Marriotts I have stayed in, as a Platinum member. Great location too!
Spur of the moment decisions always seem to work out beautifully...or maybe this place is just blessed! We left a big business meeting in Jacksonville and drove up to Amelia Island to check it out. We found this hotel and LOVED it! We walked to the beach each day, it's very close. The bed was very comfortable. We enjoyed the luxurious pool, hot tub and poolside grill. This property is actually two new Marriott hotels linked together and we walked for exercise through them both each afternoon. The staff is so friendly. I was strolling through the hotels Luna Fine Art Gallery reading about the Trinity Love Hoblit Foundation when one of the staff, James, took time out of his busy schedule to explain the foundation and express his sentiment for this young lady and her family and the foundation and the local artists whose art is showcased. He genuinely represents this hotel and the island as the hospitality ambassador. We took his advice and took some tours and have become Amelia Island history hobbyists. A big thanks to the staff and especially James!
Very clean. I love the security features where you can only access your room from the elevator with your room key since you have to scan your key on the scanner in the elevator. You're within walking distance to the beach. The extra large pool is perfect for kids as well as adults and there are plenty of lounge chairs and tables to accommodate almost everyone. The exercise room is a little small but nice and clean. There's plenty of parking, which can only be accessed with your room key. If cleanliness and security is important to you like it is to me, you will love this place. Overall, it is a wonderful hotel and we really enjoyed our stay.
We enjoyed our stay at this hotel on a busy Mother’s Day Weekend. It’s in a great location within walking distance to the beach (I recommend a wagon to haul your beach stuff) and a few restaurants. The pool is huge and it never felt crowded. Drinks and food from the pool bar were excellent. The free breakfast was a typical complimentary hotel breakfast & the breakfast area was a bit crowded at times. It is a dog friendly hotel (I love dogs so I was happy to see all of the fur babies) so if dogs aren’t your thing, this probably isn’t the hotel for you. There is also a friendly resident cat named Oscar who frequents the pool area. Expect to pay $15/day for parking which is available in a gated parking lot and in a garage under the hotel. The rooms are spacious and the beds were super comfy. The staff was friendly and overall the hotel was clean. We would definitely stay here again!
I don’t usually write reviews, but I was very impressed by this hotel. The front desk staff was pleasant, helpful, and efficient. The location is a short walk from the beach, but they have a pool if you prefer. It was also an easy drive into the historic district. My room had both a microwave and a fridge and dogs are allowed. The room was spacious, quiet, modern looking, and well laid out with a small sitting area, a desk with a sliding panel for privacy from the bedroom, walk in closet, and plenty of places to plug in electronics. I was impressed that they have keyless locks and a key is required in the elevator to access anything above the main floor. Lastly, the breakfast they offered was great and they had a good selection from which to choose. I will be booking with them again for my next stay.
Good
