loved all the teachers I had. I wish there was more time to get up and move around but other than that I can not complain. I loved going to band. :)
Great elementary school in Deer Lakes school district
The Deer Lakes school "district" is small enough that teachers are able to treat the students as individuals and personalize their education. This is in contrast to larger school districts that have a more "assembly line" approach to teaching. The biggest flaw here is that the district is stuck teaching the PA state assessment tests instead of a well rounded education. East Union is for grades 3-5, and is somewhat unique in that students actually change classes twice a day. As well as allowing teachers to specialize in only 3 subjects (instead of 6), it also prepares the children for the constant changing of classes that will occur middle school.
