“The Deer Lakes school "district" is small enough that teachers are able to treat the students as individuals and personalize their education. This is in contrast to larger school districts that have a more "assembly line" approach to teaching. The biggest flaw here is that the district is stuck teaching the PA state assessment tests instead of a well rounded education. East Union is for grades 3-5, and is somewhat unique in that students actually change classes twice a day. As well as allowing teachers to specialize in only 3 subjects (instead of 6), it also prepares the children for the constant changing of classes that will occur middle school.”

“I thought I played a lot of the courses in Pittsburgh, but I never played this little gem. It is pretty tight in some spots so you have to be accurate, but it is also forgiving in spots. The course is in great shape and is a lot of fun. Lots of hills and feels like a really long course. Fun par 3's and beautifu par 5's. Good time.”

“If could I would put 4 and a half stars but I can't. I went here and I loved all of teacher my favorite 2nd grade teacher still is here if you are in her class you would know Who it was. I had great teachers. Now why I took off the star. Because my son comes here and he didn't have the best experience. His 1st grade teacher was mean. He came home and said "mommy my teacher yelled at me for being a little bit out of line". Also when I talked to her she showed me how far he was out of line. Like 1 inch he's a first grader what do you expect not every body is perfect. She also thinks she's great when she's not. I'm not going to say who it was”
