“I used to come here a long time ago with my two dogs. It is an incredibly beautiful place that’s kept up nicely. My dogs love the pathways that they can freely run through off leash. If you go very very early in the morning it is especially beautiful. You now need a permit and I think I’m going to get one. Back in the day you didn’t.”

“GREAT area to have our karate and sword test & school picnic. We were able to use the covered area when it started to drizzle as well as the open concrete area when the sun came out for testing. The "kitchen" part of the pavilion is such a nice add-on to store everyone's food while we test (also a grill and plugs for crock pots!). And tons of picnic table seating for everyone to spread out. The bathrooms are really nice and maintained in this Pavilion area, as well. And parking is really close. Excited to use this Park again for our next summer test later on this year!”

“Although there are plenty of parking spaces at the park, it is fun to park at the O'Hara Municipal Park and hike upstream parallel the creek. It is scenic, however take care of crossing Fox Chapel Road to enter Salamander Park.”

“Following covid procedures. Food was delicious but we order cheesecake and the slice was VERY small. I would have been embarrassed to serve it.”

“Great shop. They took care of me and patiently set me up when I got my first bow years ago. Took my son there last night and he got his first vertical bow. Again - great customer service. They took the time to get a new shooter set up correctly - Took the time to make sure the bow was set up correctly for him and he was comfortable with it. Knowing he was new - they even went over things he should do in the coming months to get ready for the coming season.”

“Beautiful place”

“This is a beautiful place but I could swear I've seen a giant robot with the likeness of Barbara Streisand around... I wonder if it's just me.”

“Follow the stone blocks with arrows pointing to the direction in which the trail continues for a very cool 2.7 mile loop. You go through open fields and dense wooded zones with some brief uphill/downhill sections. You can also increase your hike's difficulty by choosing to go on the steeper sections that eventually loop back to the main trail. There's also a ton of plaques on the benches and vista points with inspirational quotes that evoke the spirit of walking on this storied path. Went on a Saturday afternoon with my dog and there were barely any people around. A very peaceful and calm hike, would highly recommend it!”

“Nice park with a playground and some swings. Two pavilions with a couple picnic tables underneath them. Lots of soccer goals on the fields and a baseball diamond are all on the fields of the park. There's a snack bar and bathrooms open during the start of spring soccer to the end of fall soccer (approximately March-October)”

“I went to this park today and it was so much fun! You can pet some of the animals (don't feed them though!) and it has a fun area to walk. There are also some parks and pavilions if you follow the road a bit and a cute park that would be perfect for a lunch or dinner date. They do have a visitors center that we did not visit as well. Definitely worth a trip!”

“This is an awesome park. All it's missing is a baseball field.”
Address: Tarentum, PA 15084, USA
“It's small but nice. The Arch memorial is unique. There's a pavilion for gatherings. It's separated from River view park by the stadium. Technically, I don't believe it's in Tarentum but right where it's divided into Brackenridge! Just a hunch.”
