“Bellwood is an amazing preschool where children develop friendships and have fun while learning through their experiences to prepare for kindergarten. It is sometimes a 35 minute drive one way for a 2 and a half hour preschool day but it is and was worth it for my girls. Most of the teachers have been there many years and are the best teachers you could want for your children: always happy, kind, and understanding with our little ones. I could not trust anyone else. My teenage niece and nephew still say they had some of the best days ever at Bellwood. Truly a special place.”

“This was the best little shop I have found. I took my 4 year son here for a haircut. He has very fine baby hair and still that is tough to get to look nice. Not only was the haircut the best he’s had but Jen, the barber, had him sitting and talking and distracted throughout the entire appointment. “So why should we care about Allegheny State Park? Well, it holds the supports for the PA Turnpike and the Bessemer Railroad Bridge. (See first picture from the Turnpike bridge and a second picture showing supports from the ground level). Also, if you like exploring really undeveloped land, this is your place. Flooding frequently and having no marked trails, it's a true wilderness experience. Since access is only by watercrafts, it's good to know there's a public boat launch at Deer Creek Park.
