“I CHOSE Dr. Felix, for emergency surgery I had. He was personable, and caring. He made me feel at ease with having the surgery. With my follow up after being released from the hospital. Dr. Felix COULD NOT. have been more generous with his time. I even asked him a question concerning a past surgery my husband had. (who was not his patient. But had seen another group Dr.) Doctor Felix pulled up my husbands file and answered all my questions. I have nothing negative to say about Dr. Felix. Hopefully he will be able to do an upcoming surgery my husband needs. (Didn't know he left Sewickley area.)🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟 🌟”

“If you are searching for assisted living in the Pittsburgh area, I’d like to share our family’s experience with New Hope Gracious Living. My uncle David Schwartz needed a living arrangement that would provide personal care, cooking, cleaning, and everyday chores. As Uncle Dave’s guardian, I started looking for the right fit in May of 2015. There were 7 facilities in Pittsburgh I chose to tour, and New Hope was the fifth one. From the very beginning, I was impressed with the look and style – the front entrance was already completely different from other places I’d seen! As the owner Kathy took me around the facility, I could already picture my uncle living there. What I saw was more like a Bed & Breakfast than assisted living housing. I kept thinking of New Hope, even as I was on the way to my next tour. The more I digested what I’d seen and learned, the more I had a good feeling about it. As I discussed all 7 tours with my wife, I found that my mind was already made up! With such an important decision, I kept it to myself and the three of us revisited our top 3 choices. It was unanimous – we fell in love with New Hope. Uncle Dave had a choice of rooms, floors, and building location. He liked having a big closet and a private bathroom. There are plenty of indoor seating areas to read, watch TV, or socialize with others, plus a large dining room area with an oversized outdoor deck. But what he enjoyed the most was spending time on the front porch, where he could sit, relaxing and watching people and cars passing by. The buildings and dining area are always neat and clean. The on-site chef always cooked good meals that my uncle liked to eat. I was impressed that odors you may normally expect from personal care facilities were nonexistent. New Hope made plenty of improvements during Uncle Dave’s time there - investing money in quality interior & exterior updates. During these times of the Covid pandemic, New Hope is very cautious in regards to the health of residents and employees. Staff screens everyone as you enter the front door. Even when mandated safety rules were relaxed, New Hope kept theirs in place until they were satisfied that it was prudent. From the office and maintenance staff to the aides and med techs, New Hope staff have been on top of any situation we’ve encountered. I was comfortable in knowing that his everyday living needs and medications were taken care of. When I picked Uncle Dave up for a doctor’s appointment, all the necessary medical paperwork would be waiting for me. As his health began failing, we all hit a few bumps in the road. Any issues that came up were resolved satisfactorily. New Hope jumped in to help with the transitions in Uncle Dave’s care. Through over a year of hospice care, New Hope gave him comfort and made it possible for my uncle to pass away at his home in December 2021 – a home we call New Hope. Thank you for all the concern and care every one of you has shown my Uncle Dave, my wife, and me over the past 6 years. David Reisz”

“The only reason our family was sad to move out of the state was because of Praise Christian Academy. Our family loved this school! All of the teachers and staff are incredible! As far as academics... our children were greatly prepared for their new school adventure. Our daughter has excellent grades at her new school and our son recently received his acceptance letter to a private school that only accepts a very small amount of students. He was one of the few students that was academically prepared. Our family can't thank PCA enough!”

“Absolutely love Pittsburgh East and their staff. They are accommodating, Friendly, and knowledgeable. I take all of my dogs there and have done so for years. Dr. Dinger is fabulous. I recently brought my little Jack Russell in as he was having difficulty walking. We found from blood work that he was positive for Lymes. Day 2 of him being at home on medication, I received a follow up call from Dr. Dinger, calling on a Saturday to see how he was doing. I am impressed with her thoroughness and compassion. Highly recommend Pittsburgh East, they treat your pets like their family.”

“I can't begin to say how amazing this office is. Although Dr. Massella has retired, every single provider still here, every nurse, and every member of the administrative staff here are always wonderful, thorough, truly caring, supportive, and knowledgeable. This office always puts the patient first, advocating for the patient when necessary, and does all they can to ensure the best care is provided. They have even gone as far as supporting their patients' parents, ensuring we have what we need, are doing well, and are fully informed every step of the way.”

“A pictures worth a thousand words but the taste is worth more. Great service. The lady that I spoke with was ready to drive my order to me if Uber took to long. What we order was Jerk Brisket, 1/2 slab of ribs (barbecue). Mac and cheese. Greens with pulled pork amd greens with brisket. I told them they mistakenly given us pulled pork which we didnt order. Over all, we'll be returning with more business.”

“Very nice establishment. Services were professional and the staff is exceptionally helpful. I attended the funeral service of a close friend recently and I was impressed with the excellent service and friendliness of the staff. Gary and the Ball family go above and beyond what is expected to help others find inner peace. While times have definitely changed, and the manner in which families honor a loved one has also changed, the Ball Funeral Chapel's dedication to the families they serve has not changed with the Covid-19 Pandemic.”
