“Reading is definitely known for having some of the best taco spots in Pennsylvania. There are a ton of hidden gems in the city, and Ave Maria Taqueria is definitely one of them! Ave Maria was recommended to me by Lola's Ice Owner, Cesar Arroyo, a fellow Mexican, and he said it was his favorite taco spot in town! He didn't disappoint me with his recommendation! Ave Maria's tacos were extremely fresh and were loaded with meat! It is definitely being overshadowed by the bigger taco restaurants literally right next to it, but next time you are craving tacos stop in and try their food! The little restaurant also has a very traditional, colorful decor inside that makes you feel like in you are in a small town in Mexico.”

“Amazing place❤. We didn't know about this place before. But some friends invited us to eat there so we went. Arrived a littler late, and the door was already closed. So our friends inside ask the staff if they can let us in. They were very courteous and open again just for us. The style of the restaurant is like visiting a friends house. At least we feel like that. Was cozy and the staff very friendly. My family was really happy they got to eat there. They were missing our hometown food already. Really similar. And the alcapurrias right on point????. The mofongos was very good too. My husband ate the trifongo and was tasty. And even with my strict diet found something to eat. Thank you Jessica for all your help, and for making us feel like family. We hope to come back again in the near future ????”

“I ate at Cristina’s Restaurant for the first time last night, and let me say I was very impressed. I ordered their famous Chicken Mofongo, and it was really, really hard to finish it. The portion was enormous! The sauce they brought to pour over the Mofongo was so flavorful, and made it such a great comfort dish. I will say you should definitely consider splitting a Mofongo with someone if you order it. The restaurant’s decor and lighting makes it feel, as if you are in a restaurant in Dominican Republic!”
