“A good walk through beautiful hillsides covered with fields. Wonderful views of surrounding hills and forests. We saw pheasant and one hunter with his dog. We were glad we were wearing bright orange this time of year. Path goes uphill all the way from the River Trail. Washed out sections are not a problem for hikers.”

“Perfect place for a day trip. They have plenty of grills for picnics and trails for hiking/snowshoeing/cross country skiing. It's super quite in the winter and very relaxing. The neighboring Hopewell Furnace National Historic Site is also very interesting. During the summer months, the pool (very large) is open to the public for a fee, and there's a lake for boating (but no swimming). I highly recommend this place for a great day trip any time of year.”

“The only place I like to camp in proximity of philly, always taking international students here. Plenty of trails to hike on, loads of fun for any age of toy like the outdoors. Never had an issue with mosquitoes here either now that i think of it.”

“This is a running furnace. They do offer informational programmes for visitors such how the create wrought iron. This is adjacent to the French Creek State Park and makes for a good visit. Nearby grounds have neat wildlife as well as domesticated stocks such as the short-horns. See pictures.”
