Great place to ride, run, or walk. Great for commuting!
Autumn is coming. Time for color changes and leaves falling!
I live close enough to the Delaware Canal I usually walk to and from it. I use the canal for fishing and I have been surprised by the type of fish found in the canal. The water levels seem to change weekly without much explanation or understanding on my part but when there is plenty of water in the canal the fish are abundant. This is such a great resource I struggle to understand why most seem to use to for biking, walking and running when the fishing is pretty good. My kids and I love traveling the canal to fish, walk, watch the wildlife and enjoy nature.
This is a great trail to walk 🚶♀️run 🏃🏾♀️or bike 🚲 located in Bucks County Pennsylvania. It’s also adjacent to the sprawling Falls Township park. It’s bright and sunny ☀️ as well as shady with the summer tree 🌳 cover. You will see and hear the birds 🦅 , turtles 🐢 and more. It’s a beautiful place for a morning or afternoon stroll or run.
Beautiful quite and relaxing
This path is one of the treasures of Eastern Pennsylvania. In a few months my son and I will have completed the entire length of the trail from Mountain Top to Bristol via cycling. It is well suited for cycling and hiking. Some stretches have benches or tables for rest stops. There are many towns along the way to obtain snacks, water or lodging. I am not sure if overnight camping is permitted along the trail but there do not seem to be many available sites for camping. They surface condition varies greatly depending upon the location. The rail trail parts seem to be in better condition than the canal path sections. The canal path sections along the Delaware can be pretty narrow and rough, but the views can be worth the bumpy ride. Also in summer, a lot of the trail is in the shade so that even in 80 degree days you ride or hike in the shade.
