“I took lessons with David many years ago when I lived in New Hope. He is without a doubt the finest piano teacher I’ve ever taken lessons with. We focused on the Three B’s, Schubert and Schumann, Chopin, and Grieg. David emphasized the importance of developing technique through continual regular practice including specific technical exercises. Development of expression came after I learned to play a piece. In addition to studying the piano, David introduced me to a wide variety of advanced techniques as well as an appreciation of music outside of the piano. He’s a truly gifted teacher.”
