“Went kayaking here. There's only a handful of parking spots near the launch area so I could see it being potentially hard to get a spot. There's some nice cliffs to look at and a little drowned forest as well as a lot of area to paddle around in...it's not the most impressive or beautiful area to kayak in but I'd go there again. The view from the top of the dam is also pretty nice.”

“This campground is an absolute gem. The secluded sites boast beautiful streams, waterfalls, ponds and rivers alike. The flora and fauna are unrivaled due to the isolated tranquility. I have stayed at three out of the six Roundstone tent sites and each has offered unique experiences and views. Neighboring sites can neither be seen nor heard. In the words of T-800 (The Terminator): I'll be back.”

“First time I went I was camping at a camp ground near by(5years ago). Loved it then and love it still. Have stopped by on my way to fall fest in Jim Thorpe the past two years for my birthday. Will never not visit this place when I'm in the area. You learn tons of info, get to see live birds of prey. (The owls are always my favorite) and there are amazing trails you can walk. Highly highly recommend a visit. Even if it's to stop by and check out the birds, or take a nice walk around the trails.”

“I enjoyed coming here as a kid and camping! The sites are still the same, very nice size. If you're entering the campground near the office, and go straight past the dumping station, they have pull through sites for RVs. However, I'm not a fan of this small section. Emphasis on SMALL. It's just that section too. If you're okay with backing up your RV (which I'd hope you are if you are driving it) try to get a different spot. Especially along the center or near the golf course field. It's nice and flat. Lots of room, and if you go on certain weekends in the summer, they have car shows!”

Hawk Falls Parking

Address: Albrightsville, PA 18210, USA

“Parking lot is a gravel lot. Overflow parking is across the street as it fools up quickly (even though there's enough room for at least 10 cars.). Easy to get out and back in to the road. The hike, however is excellent. We go up every year with my kids to take pictures by the waterfall. Not too strenuous for novice hikers and it's fun to climb up the rock face to get pictures.”

Fireline Trail Scenic Overlook

Address: White Haven, PA 18661, USA

“Beautiful winter hike!”

Mauch Chunk Lake Park

Address: 625 Lentz Trail, Jim Thorpe, PA 18229, USA

Park

“I love it there. Yes there's actually a beach. Pure sand extending into the lake. (No muck & mire to walk through) Woods surround. Food & drinks available. Hiking, camping to enjoy the beautiful countryside. They made an exception, allowing my dog on the beach cuz she had just lost her vision and we wanted her to "run free" again. People are very friendly yet not intrusive. A 5 minute drive to Jim Thorpe.”

Shades Of Death

Address: Jim Thorpe, PA 18229, USA

Park

“This is one of, if not the, most beautiful trail in the Poconos. With three waterfalls, mountain laurel walls, and a meandering stream cutting through glacial passages, it is a natural marvel. The trail is rather easy to do, and is located within Hickory Run State Park. Trail is accessible when slippery, all year, and is not suggested for those with mobility issues. The trail is out and back, and is about 2 miles or so each way.”

FIRELINE TRAIL (HICKORY RUN)

Address: PA-534, White Haven, PA 18661, USA

“Really beautiful view. Trails well maintained”

Hickory Run Campground

“The site that was reserved was way too small for our RV. We couldn't get into it. My kid's dad wound up staying at a truck stop the first night but was able to switch to a bigger site the next day. Just sucks he had to waste money for the first site.”
