“I took this picture of a hot air balloon floating over the park. Park has baseball fields tennis courts lots of parking. It's located near Route 100 so it's very easy to get to also close to the turnpike Route 100 Exit. There's also Marsh Creek Lake right down the road from the park.”

“I've spent too much time running in Warwick and not enough time enjoying the woods and trails here. Lately, I've been making an effort to fix that. So if you want a pleasant place to walk amongst the trees, leaves, rocks, and deer, I'd recommend coming to Warwick County Park. There's no cell service (or very little, I have Verizon), so it's good to be able to unplug.”

“Have had only great experiences here. They have taken excellent care of our dog each time we have used them for boarding. Other places we have used lots items (blankets, leash, etc). However, Applebrook Inn has consistently provided the best stay for our pet. They even washed her blanket after we boarded her over Thanksgiving this year as there was a lot of rain/mud one day. Clean facilities, lots of room for our greyhound to run and stretch her legs on their property. Prices are fair especially for the service provided. Will use Applebrook Inn for boarding as long as we own a pet. Thanks Applebrook staff!”

“While I haven't done the 5k/10k Racing Series here, I have run through these woods a fair number of times. The trails are packed-down dirt, and they're all kept clear of branches. Most have a lot of foliage above, so it can definitely be a good place to beat the heat. There are very few people around generally, even in the summer, so you'll be running alone most times. Cops (trying to catch backroads speeders) do like to sit in the driveways though, so you may run out of the woods and basically on top of one.”

“Small parking lot off of Route 23 with access to the north entrance of Warwick County Park. This area has open grassland for bird habitat, forested area and French Creek. My only beef with this entrance to the park is that the kiosk does not have a map and the trails are not marked.”

“You know, I really love this little Park. it really is a beautiful little place. It has a pond about 1 acres in size, a nice stream that runs behind a pond, and that the pond drains into. the pond itself has some nice little bass and other small fish, plenty of frogs and amphibians and if you catch you at the right time a bunch of snapping turtles. The way the pond is set up, the stream actually feeds the pond, then the pond drains into the same a couple hundred yards further down, pretty cool. It's all in a wooded area, with just not much around but trails and woods, and it's a nice place to hang out or go exploring. It has a pavilion that can fit about 15 people for those who don't want to be in the Sun, and there's a bridge where you can walk over the stream and then take trails to some historic old Stone buildings that only have their walls left, but a hundred years ago or so they used to be Grist Mills, places where people used to go to sell their corn or other grain crops and have ground into flour. I always go here when I need to wax my car, because it has some beautiful scenery and the right amount of shade over the parking area. It's just a nice, secluded, beautiful little Park we can just go to relax, or walk around, or Explorer, or wax your car if you need to.”

“The Trial Garden is great place to visit and explore in Longwood. It may not be as pretty as other areas but it is always filled with so many different and new types of plants I have never encountered before. I would love to find some of the new varieties they display so I can include them in my own gardens.”

“The wisteria garden is one of the oldest areas at Longwood. You can tell this garden has been here for quite some time. The wisteria trunks are large and the arbors they grow on are deteriorating. This area is not often visited by guests and needs an overhaul. Although if you are looking for a quiet area to get away from the crowds head here and sit in the shade of the wisteria.”

“The children's garden is located in the Green House, there is a water fountain and bells to play music in the trees and flowers to play with during your visit. One child who comes often with grandmother said he loves it and he needed to change clothes. He comes often to the Longwood gardens.”

“Thoroughly enjoyed our day at Longwood Gardens. Spent nine hours at LG. Had lunch and dinner in the restaurant. The food was great. The lights in the gardens and the plants and decorations in the conservatory were amazing. I love this place. We drove 90 minutes from York, but it is worth the drive. We also love coming in the summer”

“The Idea Gardens are one of the very best places to go in Longwood if you are looking for a traditional style garden. This has mainly been centered around vegetables in recent years with some of the produce being used in the restaurants on the property. Every time I visit I always see something new and that I can take home to my own garden.”
