“This place has ballfields, batting cage, tennis courts, Volleyball and playground. It has a lot of parking and easy access to the Chester Valley Trail. While it does not have a restroom it does have an outhouse”

“Really nice park, it’s very big with a few obstacles for the dogs. However it’s not split b/w big and smalls dogs. It’s all the way up the hill with plenty of parking. I gave 4/5 stars bc people don’t pick up after their dogs making it inconvenient for others when there’s bags available. It’s by a school so I would be mindful on school days when parents come to pick up their kids after school.”

“June 4th, 2022 spring city community day again. Advertised as 12pm-4pm. We showed up at 2:45 & a majority of the vendors had left already. It was even worse than 2020 & 2021. It keeps going down hill. The food vendors were gone already, too. Very disappointing. 3rd times a charm, we probably won't be back next year. June 5th, 2021 spring city community day. I think because last year with Covid, this year isn't back in full swing yet. Hopefully next year there will be more. Severely lacking food vendors. Lots of vendors were giving away free stuff to the kids though, which was super cool. We paid to do some sand art! That was great. Several raffles to enter. Petting zoo & pony rides were cool! Live music was great! We would have stayed longer but the heat got to us.”

“Oakdale Bark Park is the perfect size off leash dog park for our family. It is well maintained and has a very relaxing atmosphere. There is plenty of room for the dogs to play and run. I highly recommend this park!”

“If the tweens and teens would refrain from playing tag on the playground equipment while there are little kids trying to use it, that'd be great... But seriously the park is awesome. There are several playgrounds from which to choose, plus a pond, pavilion, amphitheater, paved trails, sports fields, trails, woods...this park is great!”

“Great place for our annual "Church in the park" and picnic. Forks of the Brandywine EPC”

“Awesome preserved nature. Although it is a preserve, it would be nice to have some sort of trail map posted or markings for each trail to avoid people getting lost.”

“As a former staff member at Camp Horseshoe, I found that Dan Beard campsite provides the best scouting experience due to it's all canvas tents for scouts and one of the best maintained sites in the camp. Location wise, it's right in the middle of camp so everything is a short walk away. Personally, I believe it's better than Staff City, which is where the staff members stay.”

“A hidden jewel. The serpentine mineral deposits create a unique ecosystem which is wonderful to witness first-hand.”
