“The Greene River Trail is a 7 mile long well- maintained trail for hiking and biking. It parallels the Monongahela River with beautiful views. The trail goes past former mining sites and Rice's Landing, where the historical WA Young Foundry is located. Along the way are numerous informational signs that explain both the history of the area as well as the trees, animals and birds along the trail. The Greene River Trail is remote but worth the trip!”

“What a treasure trove of interesting machining fabricating welding and foundry tools from the 1800s. Was a fantastic tour we spent several hours there, the staff was more than happy to show us anything and answer any questions. Would highly recommend it for anyone who is interested in history of machining old equipment or foundry work.”
