State Game Lands Number 288

Address: State Rte 3017, Pequea, PA 17565, USA

Park

“Always a pleasure to just get away from the City and enjoy nature for what it was intended for. Nice scenic trails for photoshoots. The trial ends by the Red Covered Bridge, which is another nice place to take pictures. The sound of the Creek's water. The birds whistling or singing to attract a mate. It's different point of view for different seasons as well. Spring/Summer give you more sounds of nature as Fall/Winter give you a much quieter experience and it's mostly the water passing on by.”

House Rock Nature Preserve

Address: House Rock Rd, Pequea, PA 17565, USA

Park

“Gorgeous trail with breath taking views. Also a very interesting Chestnut breeding plot. Certainly worth the drive. Parking/ finding the trail head can be tricky. You have to park at the Reed Run trailhead (you will see this on your left as you drive in) then you continue on foot to the end of house Rock road (about 20 yards) you then pick up a gravel road with a "no motor vehicles" sign. You follow this for about a hundred yards till you get to the preserve map and trail heads. But, as I said before. It's well worth it”

Wind Cave

Address: Pequea, PA 17565, USA

Park

“Super cool cave. DO NOT ENTER WITHOUT SAFETY EQUIPMENT. Also be a friend to nature and bring a trash bag to hike out some of the detritus that gets left behind”
