McConnells Mill State Park

We were there on a 25 degree day, too cold to hike for us. But it was so nice to be able to drive through the boulders, covered bridge, see the old mill and beautiful scenery. We want to go back in warmer weather.

A beautiful state park! Close to the interstate and offering many trails, McConnell's Mill offers a great experience for a few minutes or a few days. Hell's Hollow is worth note, and is a short and easy enough trail that offers great scenery. Many waterfalls dot the park, not that they're massive, but they are nice in their own right.

I really enjoyed my first visit here. I will go again to be available to explore more of the area here. This old mill was really nice. Very pleasant experience. Still in really good shape. There was a covered bridge and a dam. The drive to it was well marked. Easy to find Very few parking spaces at the mill but just before it there's a parking area. It's pretty big that had lots of parking space. I recommend if in the area taking the time to visit this place. 💜

Quick getaway from Pittsburgh, serene vibes 😇 This State Park is fun to explore both on trails as well as driving through. There are a lot of spots by the waterfalls and large rocks around to sit and chill by the creek. I particularly liked the covered bridge. Depending on the weather and rains of course, the trails may be slippery. Definitely worth visiting!

Beautiful views. I went last fall and look forward to going again this fall. Hoping it is less crowded the next time I go. Definitely make sure you are wearing either boots or trail shoes and be mindful that there will be slick areas. I brought a dog along, and she did well.
