“Village is the best pharmacy in Montgomery County, if not the entire metro area. In the 10+ years I’ve been a customer, I’ve never received anything other than consistently professional, friendly, dependable and outstanding customer service. Before I get to the actual pharmacy and staff, I would be remiss if I neglected to mention the very impressive and comprehensive selection of cards, chocolates/candy, gifts, bath products, and the like that Village carries. If you're coming here (only or also) to have a script(s) filled, you'll likely be pleasantly surprised, especially If you've been to any chain pharmacies, particularly Walgreens or CVS--both tied for worst in all aspects of customer service--in the last decade or two. You know what trying experiences dealing with their pharmacy departments and pharmacists are. However, Village couldn’t be more different. There are usually at least 2-3 friendly faces working behind the counter at any given time, helpfully answering customer questions, filling scripts, sorting out issues with health insurance companies and physicians, etc. I've never had to wait more than 10 minutes for any new prescription(s) to be filled, and any refills are always ready and waiting to go. The pharmacists (particularly Ms. Amy Murphy) and pharmacy staff are super friendly and helpful. Most importantly, you’re treated with friendliness, courtesy and understanding, instead of being made to feel like a nameless & faceless prescription number. In fact, they’ve gone above and beyond for me on a number of occasions and are happy to try to fulfill any special request(s) I may need to make. Bottom line: AVOID the chains and support independently owned small businesses by going to Village Pharmacy for professional, personalized and friendly service you’re unlikely to receive at any other pharmacy in the Philadelphia area.”
