“This is the perfect spot in all of Valley Forge National Park to simply read a book, take a nap or just sit back and listen to nature. There is a wooden platform for you to walk out on to read the historical displays, take pictures of the iron cannons or just to take pictures of the landscape. Personally I like to park here, roll down the windows in my car, recline my seat and just read a book. There is a picnic area immediately downhill from this location. Plus there is a walking trail opposite from the wooden platform that will take you back uphill through the woods. If you plan on doing what I like to do which is parking here to read a book or even to take a nap I believe that the best time of the year to do that is in the fall because by that time none of the little bugs and spiders are out there that would otherwise annoy you while you're trying to lay back and relax.”

“Beautiful place to go for a walk, run, hike. Bring along your dog or a friend. They do a great job maintaining the marked trails and they host a fun 5k at the end of the summer. There is a creek that my dog loves to walk in. It's all shaded and quiet. Can't say a bad thing about this place.”

“After attending several little parks in the area, I started Googling other options. Ironically I feel like local playgrounds are one of the harder things to search for on the internet because they are usually affiliated with townships and best known by people who live very close to them. Anyway after some searching I was excited to find Heuser Park, a beautiful large park with 2 playground areas. One area has playground equipment for bigger kids and the other area for smaller children. I don't remember what the age recommendations are for each area but there is plenty to play on. There are picnic tables a small pavilion and indoor bathroom that is open during the summer months. I found the bathrooms to be pleasantly clean for a park and in decent shape. During the other months there is a Porto potty located close to one of the sports fields. Both are reasonably located from the play area should you or your child need to use the bathroom. If you are in the mood to walk or ride bicycles there is also a very nice paved trail located opposite the play area on close to the parking lot. I'm not sure if this trail connects to the Schuylkill River trail but it does seem fairly long as is very nice to walk on with lots of shade. Lastly, the park is kept clean and all of the equipment is in good condition and nicely maintained.”
