Great!
It was a little bit late in the day when I arrived the last stop of the trip, perhaps the most famed Louis Kahn’s residential project, the Margaret Esherick House, located at the end of a driveway on the Chestnut Hill. The whole block is like a huge green carpet where trees and houses are embroideries that sparsely sewed on it. When I was taking photos in front of the building and hesitating whether or not to walk around for a overview of its exterior, the current owners came back and during our small chat, I got to know that they bought this house couple of years ago and I’m by far the first visitor they met. If not they had to leave at that time, I would have gotten a chance to have a interior tour with them!
A beautiful house by a masterful architect.
