“I rented a unit today with Safeguard and it was a really good experience. It was the first time I had to use one, so I had a lot of questions about the whole thing. I went to the actual site to see the place first and how it operates. I was greeted by Mark, he was fantastic and answered every question. He never rushed things and we had several laughs. He was really honest about everything. He showed us the loading bay, the security doors, how to open the unit, etc. The place is really well maintained -inside the unit, in the building and even outside- so that was good. I read a lot of things about storage units in general and problems with cockroaches, rats, and similar, but this place was really clean. Also, the AC was working fine. In terms of price, it is a bit more expensive than other places, but I think it is worth it. I can't say every location is the same, but from my research, they all look alike. My advise is to go and check if you are interested in a place. I would have liked if they have security on site all the time, but after checking other companies, it doesn't look like that's something anyone does. They do have alarms in every unit, cameras, and use keyfobs to enter the loading area and then again to access the units. They have several insurance packages too if you want to protect your things against disasters and theft. They have a lot of units, but just a few available. I think that's a good sign. All in all, I'm happy with everything.”
