Washington / Pittsburgh SW KOA Journey

Simple campground that is a good stopping point when traveling through the area. Check the website for directions and don't just follow the GPS.

Just like KOA website says, this is a KOA on a hill! If you aren't comfortable with hills and your camper you may want to find a different place but we enjoyed our spot - the view all around was great, the staff was super helpful. Our son used their small playground but we didn't get a chance to use the pool. This will be a place we come back when we come back to Washington, PA.

We only stayed one night in sight #24, just passing through. The staff was super nice, pool was clean and pretty. You can hear traffic, but, there are 2 major interstates that intersect there. It didn't bother us with air on in camper. Very hilly, and pool, camp store at bottom of hill. Still no problem for us, but for someone handicapped it could be. We enjoyed our stay!!!

I stayed here for a night as I have family in Washington, PA and the other campgrounds wouldn’t have worked for me. At first, I will admit that I was a bit worried about everything due to the reviews, but I am pleased to admit that I had nothing to worry about. There are new owners (this is their first season) and they have put so much work into making it a wonderful place! Getting off the interstate, there are many signs that clearly points you in the correct direction and my camper was able to handle the roads fine (granted I have a Class B 20’). Pulling up, there were beautiful poles with flower baskets lining the road and the owners led us straight to the site. The sites were level and nicely paved with gravel, the bathrooms were extremely clean and the owners were so nice! We needed to borrow a ladder to check something on the roof and they were extremely helpful with that! I would absolutely stay here again when I am coming up to visit family again!
