Nicolella Roofing

I am very happy with Nicolella and my new roof so far (Installed about 3 weeks ago now). They were neither the highest or lowest bid, but I felt they offered the best combination of final product, responsiveness, and overall value of the many companies I talked to before awarding them the work. I splurged for a GAF 25 year golden warranty (by the way they give a 10 year workmanship warranty as part of their normal work!)

I originally hesitated to call Nicolella because of their lack of reviews here and more restricted office hours than most, but I would encourage others not to let the hours hold you back. The folks I dealt with were willing to go out of their way to accommodate my schedule even if the clock and listed hours said otherwise.

I mostly worked with Nathan, but everybody I dealt with was respectful, informative, and they even showed some flexibility with me which I appreciated (i.e. some of the contractors I dealt with were only interested in using one or two specific brands of materials even when I specifically asked about something else that would suit my situation better). I was also pretty specific about certain questions and information I wanted or wanted added to the contract before I agreed to it, and they had no issues answering all of them, showing their insurance info, and even amending the contract accordingly. Once the contract was signed they made it out to my house within about 2 weeks.

The job itself was performed by their subcontractors and supervised by their foreman, Matt. Now I know my roof is pretty simple and small (12 square), but I was impressed when they started at 7:00am and they were eating pizza after cleanup was complete by 1:00!

They hung big tarps from my gutters to protect my house as well as landscaping which worked pretty well although some of the holes in said tarps did allow some old shingles through, leaving a few dings/scratches and black marks on the back of my house (I didn't complain to them about it, but am confident they would have taken care of it if I had).

When my new roof was complete every person from the crew was on top of it cleaning up all the remaining debris as a team. When all was said and done there were a few small pieces of shingle or paper here and there, but I has taken a few weeks to find them... they did a great job! Looking back, I probably should have mowed my grass before they came to make it easier to pick up nails etc. but I haven't found a single nail in the lawn or otherwise (they ran a magnet over the yard and landscaping multiple times).

Did what they said they would do plus took care of unforeseen problems. Quote came in as cheap or cheaper than other contractors. Very easy to work with. Very high quality work.

From the first call (where I talked to a real person) until the job was completed, I couldn't have been more pleased!
