“It's been a few centuries since Catholic churches were taken over by Presbyterians en masse so this church is a special kind of throw-back to the glorious age of the reformation, if you are a votary of John Knox. Freed from popery and all its accompanying idolatrous images of the cult of the virgin, etc..., this church speaks in the monotonous tones of what's left of American mainline Protestantism.
