This was our first time camping here. We stayed in lakeside cabin #1 and it was perfect. Swim beach was “closed” due to an algae bloom so there were very few people across the lake from us. The campground is very well maintained and heavily wooded. Many sites are located along the edge of the lake. The restrooms are very clean! There are several hiking trails that are worth exploring. We hadn’t really considered this as a camping option before but we were all surprised and very impressed!

I honestly love it at Keystone. It's definitely second favorite to Ohiopyle. The lake is relaxing. The hiking trails are really nice. The camping cabins are very affordable and super cute.

It’s always truly epic to vacation in a cabin and Keystone has lovely ones.

I highly recommend stopping by the visitors center with your little ones, a very friendly wife and husband volunteer their time to host little activities on the weekend and fun fact finds. Very cute, loved that.

The 2 mile bike/hike trail around the lake is great too if you’re not into “deep woods” stuff, well maintained and easy enough for novice riders to handle, or a nice scenic stroll around the lake.

The beach was closed due to toxic algae contamination, which was due to the higher heat lately, that’s nature for you, but I’m actually happy they tested for it, parks are not required to do that so it’s nice they want you safe.

We took the Pine trail on one hike adventure, it was relatively short, but cute and nice nonetheless.

The McCune Run to the Davis Run trail was nice and woodsy, not too hard of a hike (not bike-able, FYI) and lovely/interesting views of swampy areas and lake views, deep woods views. Blackberries grow along the paths which was a fun find for us. :)

4 out of 5 mostly for the lack of separation of your neighbors, total opposite point of a cabin vacation in the woods, they’re basically in the same yard as you, we could hear everyone’s entire conversations.

Enjoyed my time in this park. We camped in site #81 which was shaded and space enough for two tents. It would be greater for younger or more fit guests as it has stone steps but it was lovely regardless😂.
They have a lot of nice programs and the 78 acre lake is great for non motorized watercraft(kayak, canoe, paddleboard, etc). Various craft can be rented. There is a beach, ball field, pavilions, small beach/camp store, amphitheater, picnic area and center.
There is a handicap friendly fishing area between the hillside and lakeside campgrounds near the dam. There are also a few yurts and cabins at lakeside that look great.
Had a great time and would love to try one of the cabins in the future!

Such a pretty natural area. The main areas are the beach, the campground, and the kayak launch. The beach is long and not too deep but it's always clean. Near the beach there is a large lawn with picnic tables, the office, bathrooms, and a playground. The camping area can host several RV/campers and tents and has 3 wood cabins and 2 teepee tents. The cabins are quite private with their own small kayak launch and dock.
The campsite and the beach are at opposite sides of the lake but there is a 2.2 mile loop that connects them and the walk from camping to the beach is probably 10 minutes.
There are a couple of nice trails in the woods on the opposite side of the road from the beach parking lot and they are usually pretty well maintained.
There are plenty of bathrooms, trash cans, and picnic tables all along the lake and they sell ice cream in the small building near the mooring.
In the parking lot of the mooring there are 2 or 3 EV charging stations.
In summer the lake area is pretty busy but the trails stay quieter.
I love you walk here from late Fall to early Spring when it's empty and I get to play with my dog and enjoy the beautiful lake.
