They aim for making your child feel comfortable from the beautiful ocean decor to the kind caring staff! My daughter has a very bad abscess tooth and I have been in direct contact through text daily with the dentist! She assured me that everything will be taken care of even if my daughter needs her surgery before her scheduled date! My daughter is extremely terrified of the dentist and they made sure they explained every single to her and made her feel safe and comfortable! “Okay, so I have a lot of issues with grinding at night and it’s been wearing my teeth down. My hygienist, Joy, was a magician. Months back, she was warning me about my teeth shifting around from clenching and grinding. To be honest, I should’ve listened because she was spot on. She got me in for another cleaning and helped me pick out a solution for my grinding issues. Sleeping with a nightguard now, thank God! So much nicer! Anyway, the dentist was super cool too. Very professional. I even got to practice my spanish with the dental assistant. I really liked the whole vibe. Best of all, I’m happy to finally not have any anxiety about going to the dentist!!”

Of the several quacks and hacks (and outright dishonest) places I have been to, I feel safe with Doctor Tackett. Not comfortable, but safe. That is high praise coming from me. If you don't like going to the dentist, try Doctor Tackett. He and his staff are the best. Update 3/11/24. Another awesome painless checkup.”

“Everyone there was great. Dr. Thompson did an amazing job and made sure I was comfortable the whole time. Edit-- My original statement still applies. The hygienist and doctor are awesome but the office and billing procedures let us down. There are two separate situations that apply that misled my husband and I to pay more than we should have for dental services. Billing "statements" don't include date of service or treatment or the correct patient name who received the service, and when you question it, they don't really know what happened either. My husband's name was on a statement that had zero information on it, so we were stuck with a past due balance we had no idea where it came from and also couldn't be explained to us by the office for months. Mind you he did ask the office to look into this, yet we still incurred past due fees. Turns out it was a bill for a treatment for myself, but there was no way of knowing this was the case by how the statement looks. Also, FYI they DO NOT accept UPMC Dental Advantage as of July 2023 (even though it says they do on their website December 2023). Our fault for not verifying it before we went back for services, but still a huge annoyance when you're charged with something that is normally covered. I typically don't leave poor reviews as I like to only give positive feedback, and like I said, the actual hygienist and services from the doctor are great. I am just disappointed with how our complaints and concerns were handled as this confusion over billing went on for months and then at the end of it, was made to look like it was our own fault. The misinformation on the website and the "oh well, sucks to be you" attitude was the final straw.”

“I found this wonderful dentist in 2018 when I had a horrible tooth I needed out. Restored my faith again that it doesn't have to be a bad experience. Now my husband had a horrible infection in a tooth, everyone wanted to see him take x-rays but send him to a oral surgeon which would bill the insurance twice. And we would have to pay twice .. This place took my husbands 2 teeth out that were bad in the back and stitched him up in 25 mins.. He was in no pain at all. The Dr and receptionist were wonderful coming out and letting me no how he was doing. Great place to go!!!! Very humble office.. There not trying to rip you off... Going back in 2 weeks to have more done. Thanks Dr Mathur And the wonderful kind receptionist!!!!”
