Working with Lauren has changed the running game for me. By no means am I an elite runner, just a normal person trying to run her first half marathon and I am so glad I'm working with Lauren to do it. She structured an interesting running program for me that's fun to do and has enough variety. She listens intently to my concerns and gives me tips to address them, and is consistently responsive to texts and emails. I am also in significantly less pain than I was when I first started working with her. I wasn't on the verge of injury or anything, but my legs and body just feel better overall. If you feel like you could feel better when you run, or just want to see what you're capable of, I definitely recommend working with her.
During our first session Dr. Lauren walked me through key movements and studied imbalances. She helped me understand how those imbalances contribute to foot pain I've been experiencing. Now we have regular sessions where we do specific movements to treat those differences and help restore mobility and build strength. I've experienced a slight decrease in pain after 3 sessions. I have homework each week that works with my lifestyle. I'm excited to continue to work with her. She is very professional, timely, and passionate.
Dr. Lauren has taught me how to run pain free, while crushing any personal record I have. She is very thorough with the exercises and ensures you understand the movement and what muscle you're suppose to be engaging. It's because of her I'm able to run 7 min mile again! Highly recommend Dr.Lauren for anything trying to take their running to the next level.
Dr. Lauren was great to work with. She was very flexible with scheduling appointments either in person or virtually. When I first started seeing Lauren, I had constant back and hip pain, limited mobility, and a complete loss of strength. During the course of our time together she helped resolve all my issues. Throughout the recovery process, she was open to feedback, and kept me in the loop on why we were working through the progressions we were. Since working with Lauren, I have been able to get back to running, picked up cycling, and have been able to begin lifting weights again.
I’ve been working with Lauren for a month and she actually makes PT fun! We have been reworking muscle groups that I avoid using - specifically my lower core, hamstrings and feet - to alleviate some knee pain I’ve been having on and off for years.
Lauren is so knowledgeable about how the body works and is a “forever student” who you can tell really loves her work. I especially appreciate her flexibility and adaptability to what works for me when my body just wont shake its old habits (ha)!
In just a few short weeks I’ve already learned so much to help with my awareness throughout the week between appointments. Can’t wait to see my progress throughout my treatment plan!
