  Great place to camp! Or venue for gatherings. When the truck starts having trouble with the 8 mile, 8% uphill grade to Blue Bear in Boone, this is the next best thing.

  Its quiet. People are friendly. The staff or rangers that work here are very nice helpful people.

  Nice shady camping spots. Some are level, others require some work to level an RV. A nice playground a short walk from the campground. WiFi available at the office (probably available only from the closest of sites).

Dogs are allowed at Kings Mountain Campground, but they must be kept on a leash no longer than 6 feet when outside your vehicle. This campground welcomes pets, and has both primitive tent sites and modern RV sites with electric and water hookups.
