Dr.Tem Music & Art Lessons

We are fortunate to have Dr. Tem as my daughter's piano tutor. She looks forward to her lessons with him every week.
We started about four months ago without knowing how it would go. I made my mind up that we will stick with lessons unless my daughter does not want it. She was getting only one session per week, and she was not doing that much with her piano home other than banging it. We were coming to lesson every week without practice, and I wondered if we were wasting time! Like many of her peers do, she ran around in the middle of her class from time to time.
Meanwhile, Dr. Tem patiently keeps her five-year-old mind from wandering and keeps her engaged and curious to learn. He noticed that her seat at home was low; I purchased an adjustable seat instead of the one that came with the piano. Then, about a month ago, she started to practice at home, just by herself! There are times she sits for more than an hour without a break,~2 hours a day. Lately, she runs to her piano when she comes from school. She feels like playing the piano is a big part of her life, and if it continues, it is because we started with the right teacher.

Dr Tem makes learning the piano fun and does a great job of encouraging the kids to want to practice.

I’ve been a student of Dr. Tem’s for about 7 months now. He is a phenomenal teacher with an abundance of knowledge and understanding of music theory. In his music composition classes I’ve both learned so much about music theory and writing music and increased my understanding of playing piano. Highly recommend!

Dr Tem is awesome, I'm currently taking writing/composition classes with him and he breaks down concepts really well. Really cool to see a teacher that uses technology in the best ways possible to teach. :)

So far I have thoroughly enjoyed my lessons with Dr. Tem. They feel very useful and help me grow quickly as a player.
