“The hiking areas, grounds and visitor center were well cared for and lovely. We enjoyed seeing some of the rare flowers in bloom.”

Stones River Greenway Trailhead

Address: Stewarts Ferry Pike, Nashville, TN 37214, USA

Park

“I love the local Greenways, and this particular stretch is great. From Khols to the Dam has great hills, scenic bridges, and riverfront views. Great for walking, jogging, dogs (dog park next to the dam). Biking is ruff with the hills (great for serious cyclists). Always pass on the left and call out "on your left." The YMCA trail is a fun scenic off shoot and leads to a historic cemetery.”

Elm Hill Recreation Area

“Very nice park. Very clean and quiet. Right on the water.”

Central Pike Church of Christ

“Fantastic church. People are very loving and committed to one another. Exceptional preaching focused on finishing the work of Christ in this world. We are blessed to have found this house of worship and family of believers.”

AvenueKArtStudio

Address: 16065 Sheldon Ave, Eden Prairie, MN 55344, USA

Art gallery Campground Lodging Park

“Awesome staff, super friendly. Bathrooms and showers are cleaner than some hotels. Laundry on site. Sites are very large for a campground with lots of trees, but nicely graded picnic areas on each site with charcoal grill, fire ring and over the fire grill tops. Tons of wildlife including a lot of whitetail deer, ducks, raccoons, even some skunks (that didn't spray me!) Gorgeous lake with incredible sunsets. Prices are great. Staff closes gate at night but it's not locked! Don't let it deter you from camping here. Staff cleaned bathroom every morning around 615 am.”

J. Percy Priest - Dam Site

Address: 3737 Bell Rd, Nashville, TN 37214, USA

Park

“It was a very cool site to go to. The area is well maintained and clean. It has good bathrooms and 4 main areas to see. Two on the top and two on the bottom. I suggest all of them. The path to the base of the dam is very nice to walk and fish from.”

Stones River Dog Park

Address: Stones River Greenway, Nashville, TN 37214, USA

Park

“The dog park was a great place to stop with our pup on our long drive. There were water fountains and restrooms tight out front and water for the dogs inside. It was clean and had grass, rocks, and cement for the dogs to run on. Plenty of space and a number of spots to sit (for humans). Shade was a bit lacking though.”

Volunteer Trail

Address: Granny Wright Ln, Hermitage, TN 37076, USA

Park

“This is a great trail for a fairly easy but lengthy hike close to Nashville. The payoff is some wonderful views from rocky cliffs overlooking Percy Priest lake about half way through.. lots of spots to sit or lay on the rocks and take in the scene over the water.”

Elm Hill RV Resort

Address: 3343 Bell Rd, Nashville, TN 37214, USA

Rv park Campground Lodging Park

“This is an incredibly beautiful place. It is on a peninsula into the reservoir with most sites having nice views. The roads are somewhat tight , but very doable. We never used the amenities so I cannot comment other than they look nice from the outside. The reason for 4 stars is due to noise. We like quiet camps and this location has too many people wanting to party. Also, there was a band at the marina which played until 11 pm. Even if there is no band at the camp or marina, many campers play their own music until curfew. The camps quiet hours are 11 pm to 8 am. We admit we are early to bed and early to rise. If you like music and noise until 11 pm, you would likely give this camp 5 stars. However, we cannot.”

Nashville Shores RV Resort and Cabins

Address: 4001 Bell Rd, Hermitage, TN 37076, USA

Campground Rv park Lodging Park

“We stayed here for 5 days and just loved it. It was peaceful and quiet. Of course it was after the water park closed for season . Bath house and showers was very clean. We will def go back here again.”

Cook Day Use Area

Address: 12230 Old Hickory Blvd, Nashville, TN 37076, USA

Park

“I love this place. Probably my favorite lake area near Nashville so far. Water always feels great, plenty of shore to walk if you want to get your own space. Woods are nice too, enjoy walking through them. People seem to do a good job of cleaning after themselves which is nice. Overall a great place to spend the day with family or friends.”
