I have to review it. The unorthodox approach is standoffish at first. Our new residents are primarily specialists at this type of setting so we have to consider every approach other than The disease concept. Which in their reality is a revolving door of negative consequences that escalate from the inevitable. We are fully persuaded this is not a disease but a mindset of despair and lack of coping skills that when the individual becomes overwhelmed or Just watching a football game . The habit of his go to..Is the conscience decision to become dysfunctional at some point to ruin his or her life and the lives of loved ones. When this becomes The accepting reality. It is time to be responsible and stop this cycle of self inflicted sympathy. OK what about dual diagnosis? These people are not dually diagnosed because they are mislead that they will experience post acute withdrawal. Another medical bamboozal.that says you can't have an accurate diagnosis until such person is without drugs or alcohol for 1 year.. So why did that doctor just put a dual on someone who is telling them the right answers because... That's what they do. ? With encouragement and brutal honesty lives have been changed . But it has not made us popular. You may not agree either but if you have been affected by this Self taught strategy to manipulate others and Train you how to treat them ? You understand like we do and we just refuse to let you run game on yourself any longer. When a person gets sick and tired of a thing ? They simply stop. I give the Abide Foundation 5 stars for sticking to the truth and not being 3months dry and 9 months drunk in a roundtable coffee sip of self loathing inevitable relapses time and time again. Life is all about breaking old habits and making new ones -and we all do it all the time. So should they.
