A hidden gem in this town. Great selection. Courteous staff. Clean restrooms.
I was driving down the road when I suddenly herd sirens going off. Before I knew it a fire truck was blasting it’s horn and coming straight for me. In a moment of panicked quick thinking I pulled over into the nearest place I could find. It just happened to be this shell gas station. Not knowing what to do I pulled over to park. I looked at my gas gauge and it was full. Therefore any normal person would have left at this point. Maybe it was my new meds, maybe it was my soul’s growing restlessness of my boring world never changing, or maybe it was the migraine in my head but I did not want to leave, something about this place made my bones feel sparkly. It was calm, I felt a strange feeling of home here. I watched more cop cars rush by but I didn’t get back on the road. I instead turned off the car, bowed my head to touch the steering wheel, and let my eyes began to weep. I lost track of how long my eye lids were overflowing. Maybe it was 30 seconds? Possibly hours? However during my time of mourning, apparently I was parked by the tire pressure machine. Someone needed to use it so they went inside in complained. I think this was reasonable of them. I herd a swift tap on my window. It was a women. She looked tired, bored and maybe a tad fearful. I raised my head in shame, tears still dripping off lashes, and gave her my attention. I rolled down the window to see what she needed. She told me I was blocking the tire pressure. I understood my actions were wrong so I left. It’s been hours. It’s currently 11pm and I still sit on my couch pondering the vibes of the place. Overall 10/10 would cry there again.
All the guys there are great, super friendly. They have a huge beer selection and great cigars too. It’s super close to my house so I go there every day. Great community convenience station.
