“I love this place. Probably my favorite lake area near Nashville so far. Water always feels great, plenty of shore to walk if you want to get your own space. Woods are nice too, enjoy walking through them. People seem to do a good job of cleaning after themselves which is nice. Overall a great place to spend the day with family or friends.”

“It’s one of the bigger dog parks in town but it lacks water features. Like most parks I know there are lots of people who let their dogs roam free and don’t pick up after them. So keep an eye out. Nice place with an solid set of regulars.”

“Had a wonderful stay in the cabins! They are updated and have everything you'd need from forks & spoons to linens, towels & shower wash. The cabins also have new fire pits, gas grills lots of outdoor seating. The pool was clean and there are lots of amenities for children. Each site is grassy and clean. The new ownership/management has really turned this place around!”

They have free scheduled activities for school age children for Spring Break and open gym in the evening. I enjoyed the arts and crafts displayed. “On Saturday, 07-28-18 I took my Daughter and Grandson to this park for the backpack and school supply giveaway sponsored by Quanie Cash and others. The event was nice, the food and music was good, and the backpacks was the best ever!! It was just a delight to have someone like Quanie Cash come back to his old Neighborhood and give back to children in need! What an awesome blessing at a peaceful event in a beautiful park like Frederick Douglass in the East Nashville area! ????”

“Family oriented, with lots of roots and history, in the heart of north-west Nashville (depending on where you are from). Recommend for any activity that is available, for any age. No matter, what's going on in the street, this is a safe place. Staff is always friendly and great with kids. (Summer and after school program is offered along with opportunity and exposure.) They also offer Rejoice ballet here.”

“Nice playground never went into the recreation center. Well maintained and clean. My children are different ages yet the playground had every level of play there. Tennis courts and walking trails are also well maintained. This was my first time using the playground but will return as it is near my house.”

“Our Grandmother bought a plot and said she wanted to be buried in this facility next to her mother. Since our grandmother passed in NJ, we were very nervous about the logistics to bring her home. Theresa was professional and helpful. She guided us through the process. After arriving at the facility, I was shocked to see how well maintained the facility was. Harpeth Hills Memorial garden is beautiful, and I now understand why my grandma wanted to be inured there. Thank you Theresa and the rest of the staff for helping us.”
