Went to the restaurant with friends. Though it took a bit to put in our order - had to eventually ask someone to serve us, the catfish meal was superb! Worth the wait. The view of the lake with the variety of critters appearing early evening was so relaxing, enjoyable. An evening well spent in an amazing lodge atmosphere.
I've run every single trail in this park (1 time in one day lol) and I absolutely love it. Having a beautiful Lodge in the park in just an added bonus. Pool, bar, restaurant, cabins, kayaking, lakes, golf, horseback riding, running/hiking trails, and campgrounds. If you love the outdoors but still want to sleep in a super comfy bed at night, the Lodge at Montgomery Bell is the right choice for you!
OMG! We just had the most amazing mini vacation at the Lodge. We stayed for two nights and it was the perfect getaway for my husband and I with our almost 2 year old. Nathan at the front desk is just glowing with positivity and makes you feel so welcomed. He was extremely sweet to my daughter as she ran around enjoying her stay. The restaurant was DELICIOUS! Food and drinks were all perfect. All of our servers were nice and informative on things to do around the park. The room was super clean and the shower has great pressure, it was so relaxing after hiking. You will be seeing a lot of us this summer.
We hiked at the park and went to the lodge for lunch. I had the Cobb Salad, a bed of crisp greens with chunks of chicken, bacon, boiled eggs, tomatoes, red onions and cheese. It was so large I had plenty to share with my companion. He got "the Rachel", a toasted turkey sandwich topped with sauerkraut, melted cheese on marbled ryr bread. I helped him eat that, along with crispy hot fries. The food is great and a good value. The server attentive and friendly. Our table was outside with a lovely view of Acorn Lake. It was a pleasant place to have lunch.
I stayed here for a class. The hotel was nice and the staff very friendly. The restaurant was good when it was open. Breakfast was not very much just cereal and muffins and other breakfast breads. Dinner was very good! The price was reasonable and it was a large portion. They state that the meals are shareable and they are! I will come back in the future and hopefully breakfast will be better. Other than that it is very nice and I do recommend it if you want to stay for a getaway weekend or longer.
