“This has got to be one of the best run pizza places I’ve seen. About a dozen employees, were all working efficiently to crank out the evening surge of orders. They all were cheerful about their work, and even took time to say hi to me while I was admiring their efficiency. The pizza is also delicious and the location is nearby for easy pick up.”

“My family ate here this afternoon and we loved it! The chicken taco was great, and the Barbacoa was incredibly tender and tasteful. The price seemed very fair but the tacos are smaller than most might expect. They filled ours with a good amount of meat though which made up for the size. The favorite option among everyone were the loaded fries with barbacoa. Definitely recommend! The workers were very nice and answered questions.”

“Built in 1949 and originally serving as a Post Office, the Historic Southside Market, LLC is located just beyond Clarksville in Southside. Though the market has served as multiple businesses throughout the years, from pool hall to general store, it has always been a staple of the Southside community, with the front porch serving as a great place for community conversations. The building was built from cinder blocks, (before that was a typical thing) and rough cut cedar, no milled 2x4’s. These days, you can still stop in for those everyday convenience items, and grab breakfast, lunch or an early dinner. Realtor Wendi Potter and her parents, Del and Cindy Green, purchased the market in 2020 and brought new life to it. Del and Cindy live in Southside while Wendi lives in Cunningham with her family. They truly love their community and the support they receive from them. As for the food, we grabbed two hot and fresh pizzas while there as well as a buffalo chicken sandwich, which was perfectly seasoned and actually one of the best we’ve had. We also enjoyed a tasty Philly cheesesteak! People come from miles around to enjoy their affordable breakfast options, cheeseburgers, pizza, wings, and Phillies. We are going to have to make a trip back for breakfast and that chocolate cake! Baked by Del, you can get a huge slice equal to 1/6th of the cake for just $3.50! You’re welcome to pull up a seat inside, or eat at the picnic tables outside, or join the conversation on the Liars bench on the porch. The bench is almost as old as the building itself and gets it’s name from some of the tales spun over the years. They’ve recently added the Truth Tellers Pew on the other side of the porch if you wouldn’t want to be caught telling a lie. 😉 Warm weather brings a Farmer’s Market, hosted the first Saturday of every month from 8am-noon. Definitely head over and give them a follow on their socials to stay up to date on events and those tasty desserts! When you do take that scenic drive out to visit, be sure to let them know that LOCAL sent ya!”

Hanna's Schnitzel were as good as in a local restaurant at home, and the Potato salad and Black Forest cake were among the best I've tasted in my life!
