“I have been a patient for five months at the time of writing this review. My experience at Vanguard Family Medicine has been very good. I thought that Dr. Hoffman's initial physical exam was very thorough. She checked a few things on me that I haven't gotten checked for at other primary care providers. She pressed on my thyroid and my abdomen and I got a urine test in addition to a blood test. The lab tests cost about 75% less than at other doctors offices. I like how she congratulates her patients on losing weight or lowering their cholesterol or whatever it might be during their follow up appointments. I think that Dr. Hoffman's medical assistant or nurse is very nice so that makes going to the doctors kind of fun, and she is very knowledgeable at doing phlebotomy. The veins in my arm are deep so I have a history of having to get poked with the needle more than once, but she does a good job inspecting both of my arms and finding the best place on me for administering a blood test.”
