(June 8, 2023, 6:51 pm)Millie and I have just returned from our most recent visit with Dr. McGhee at the Collierville Animal Clinic. Let me add that it is now a 12 hour drive. I started going to Dr. McGhee in the Mid 1980's and through the years I have seen many of the other Doctors there. Since moving to South Florida, I haven't been able to make myself change. They have met me in the middle of the night, have returned phone calls on holidays. They have worked miracles after severe injuries. They have showed extreme compassion and calmed my fears. They have been honest when it was time to let go and shown patience while I learned to do so. We had 9 dogs, 2 cats, a squirrel, a deer, 2 ducks, and many rabbits. All wildlife was able to be released into the wild.
Docs, I can't thank you enough. We'll see you for the next checkup.
(May 14, 2023, 6:43 am)Absolutely the best Veterinary clinic in the area. I waited to give this review because unfortunately I have been to vets that’s started off great and went down hill afterwards when my bun got ill and I insist on care for him because I’ve been told he is fine when I know he wasn’t. Dr. McGee has never once dismissed any concerns that I have. He has been patient in explaining what is going on with my bun, what to expect and what the next course of action would be with no improvement with current treatment method. He always does testings on him and help me figure out what foods to give my bun who has a calcium processing issue and how to treat his allergies. He never fits him in always in an emergency and calls to keep me updated on his progress multiple times per day. I will always take my pets there to see him. My dad just got a pair or parakeet birds there. Can’t wait to make them his vet as well. He is the BEST vet and I truly thank God my bun has him to care for and look out for him and his best interest. The staff there is also the very very best. They are informative and are never afraid to admit when they don’t know but always checks with the doctor and gets back to me. They also, always let’s me know when they think I have an emergency on my hands. They work with my schedule too to get my buns in. I just love love love this place.
(March 31, 2023, 6:34 pm)I was here last year because my cat had cancer and they were the most reasonably priced. I also had her teeth cleaned while she was in surgery and since she's been so happy instead of lethargic and grumpy. Its been over a year and the cancer has not come back. She's still herself but has gotten so small. I went again and found out her labs were perfect but her thyroid levels were through the roof. They have in home lab testing so I was able to learn immediately. They thoroughly went over four options with me and the estimated costs. I've started on a recommended treatment and will see how it works. I'll be back in three weeks to see if there's any progress. The staff is very considerate, understanding and welcoming. My cat is 15 and I'll trust they do right by her.
I've been to another vet since I moved go byhalia in olive branch and they do not compare.
(March 13, 2023, 1:52 pm)My little tiny Serama hen had big broken eggshells stuck inside of her that had to be surgically removed. Pretty scary, as she is so tiny & I wasn't sure if she would make it. But Dr. McGee's confidence, experience, & answers to all my questions really helped to ease my mind. My little hen is recovering from her surgery now, & already back to her normal, happy self. I am so, so very thankful to Dr. McGee for saving her life!

Dr. McGee has been so helpful with my precious turtle’s growth and development. If you want the very best for your pet, this is where I would recommend.
