“One of the best things about Sunday morning is seeing how happy the children are when they come out of Kid's Church. Pastor Kris has the ability to speak easily to anyone. His sermons are engaging and thought-provoking. Everyone I have encountered is friendly and welcoming. Coffee and donuts are plentiful at 9:30am.”

“Loved the service and message around Thanksgiving. Friendly congregation, though I was a visitor from out of town. I went because it was near my family's home. I came alone but never felt out of place. Somewhat basic, very casual atmosphere. I did love how the minister gave an easy to follow and read outline for the service, made it more memorable and easier to take notes.”

“If we lived here this would be our church. We were here for Christmas Eve service and unfortunately the church had just lost 4 people in the congregation to a tragedy. You could tell hurting was happening but you could also tell there was hope through the pain because of the great Bible teaching that goes on here. Pastor Nick is a super studied pastor and he will feed you. He has only been there a few years. With the super friendly and super caring church family and Nick's leadership I imagine in a few years this building won't be big enough. The compassion that was shown through the tragedy was amazing.”

“As the son of a Lutheran Minister, as well as a student of John MacArthur and his Grace To You Ministry for almost three decades, I sought long and hard the last several years to find a truly Biblical and doctrinal church--not just in what they say but in what they do and how they conduct themselves. So many synods, districts, and churches are caught-up in entertaining the masses with watered-down singy-songs, watered-down, user-friendly services, short, shallow, watered-down sermons, and the "tickling of the ears" that Paul talks about, giving attendees what they want to hear vs. what God commands and demands. And even some of the supposed, apparent, traditional, orthodox churches simply succumb to the world and the world's ways in what they do and how they conduct and govern themselves. All in all, most churches simply try to reinvent the wheel and Wolf River Presbyterian and the OPC does not and it is as simple as that--they believe in God, His Word, and HIs Son Jesus Christ and it shows in everything they do from teaching to preaching to conducting worship and the "business" of the church. As christians, the Bible should be our guide in all things and it's not mythological here and there or antiquated as some pretend but it is God's Word and it's our guide for how to live our daily lives as well as how to run a church, how to worship, etc. and this church and synod adheres to this simple principle and does it right. It's not hard to figure out how to conduct things in this regard but humans just make it hard when they think they know more than God does and don't obey God's Word and try to invent new and user-friendly ways to worship and live our lives when God already laid it out in His Word. I believe today's churches range between disasters to complete disasters in these regards but Wolf River Presbyterian is a complete refuge and gem that is quite rare around here and probably anywhere else.”

“This is my 3rd time attending this church (online today) and I am captivated. I attended the first time a few Sundays ago on "accident"; my regular church was unexpectedly closed, so I decided to drive around Collierville in hopes to find an opened church that "felt right" in my spirit. I had driven by a couple of churches, but none of them made me stop to inquire until I drove by One City Church. What grabbed me was the huge white sign that read "Love Works", so I made a u-Turn on Houston Levee Road and told my daughters(ages 4 & 5 years old) in the backseat that we may have found the church to attend. I pulled up to the security guard and asked if the church was open and the time it started. He had given me a brief history lesson on the church and told me that the church started in about an hour at 11:11am. I paused and just stared at the security guard and repeated the time of 11:11am back to him in disbelief. I told him that I would definitely return at 11:11am. Before I pulled off he held my hand and prayed over me. The significance of 11:11am to me is that almost everyday for several weeks now I have seen these numbers 1:11, 11:11, 11:01, etc., throughout my day. In books, clocks, my gym locker, literally everywhere. I have learned that these numbers are Angel Sign numbers and for this church to take the time to dedicate their start time to 11:11am spoke volumes to me in that moment. I look forward to hopefully many happy Sundays together.”
