Oaklawn Garden

While walking around the paths, we came across two deers. This place is full of history and historical items.

Lovely grounds with a diverse variety of trees, shrubs and bulb plantings. The azaleas,, rhododendron, iris and dogwood make an early Spring visit especially nice. Interesting relics are interspersed throughout the garden. Overall, it's a serene hidden gem worth exploring.

Note there are no paved walkways. While it preserves a lovely feel of wandering through a private estate garden, it will not be quite as easily accessible for strollers or wheelchairs.

Also, it's very difficult to find the entrance the first time - you must cross the parallel railroad tracks to find the small parking lot which isn't very visible from the road.
