Visited historic jamestowne in December 2022, week between Christmas and New Years. Was pretty deserted at opening but got busy pretty quickly.

The dale house cafe on property actual had reasonable priced food. We didn't but any because we already had food plans but some of the items sounded good and also baked goods. I've included pictures of some items and the menu.

I would consider eating here in the future if I visited again.

Great Cafe on Jamestown Island. Always had delicious sandwiches and sweet treats each time I go. I love that they incorporate local businesses into their offerings! Everyone keep in mind, to get to the Dale House cafe you need to purchase admission to Jamestown Island!

Always look forward to a sweet treat while and/or local beer while sitting on the patio overlooking the James River.

I want to say, too that the staff has always been super friendly and very knowledgeable in their offerings! If you have a food allergy, by all means let them know. They are very accommodating!

Yummy food! Love this place. Great lunch spot, right on the river. History and delicious sandwiches and wraps! All the baked goods are heavenly!

*Small warning* this is not a roadside restaurant it’s within Historic Jamestowne! The employees were friendly as heck and the food was pretty good too! Had the Special Wrap of the Day: “Black beans, Chickpeas, in a Chipotle Ranch sauce w/peppers, onions, Cheddar cheese and tomatoes all wrapped in a warm tortilla.”The side was a double Egg Potato Salad. Definitely not your standard “Tourist trap food fair!”

Good spot (warning it is a slight walk from the parking lot behind the visitor center). I had the turkey brie sandwich with apple and cranberries on the sandwich. The bread was cinnamon swirl. Great sandwich for stuff you think would not go together. The devil egg potato salad was very delicious.
