The ciders were all really well made. Very complex and complimentary flavors. Their "slingshot" is a delicious, baseline cider that's very crisp. The other ciders are all very unique, and very tasty.
For food, I got the French Onion Soup that had SO much flavor to it. 10/10.
The staff was extremely friendly and a lot of fun. Very knowledgeable about their cider as well.
Took the drive from Memphis and it was every bit worth it. Will definitely be returning.
Really cool place to hang out. We enjoyed trying the different ciders and all were great. The food is very good too.
Great friendly place. The types of cider changes.. The atmosphere is friendly. We saw families here. They have a children's menu too. The food is unique. Desserts look great, but we didn't have any. It was busy.
Charming discovery cider sampling was fun, the staff was beyond accommodating. But the food was amazing. A menu like you won't find anywhere else... except there is rumor of them opening one up in the Cooper Young district. If it's TRUE, it will be a hit
Give it a try, its worth the drive.
I visited Long Road Cider Company back in June, 2017 and I'm looking forward to going back there. They have a rotating selection ciders that are all on the slightly to mostly dry side. This is craft cider, so don't assume your getting that grocery store stuff.
They put time and effort into each batch. I was truly fascinated by the "Dandy" cider. This cider was made with dandelion flowers and local wild yeast. They took a big risk doing this, because you never know what kind of yeast will get in there. However, the result was pleasant -- a bit sour, but light and bright.
If you take a peak around the Cider House, you'll notice all of the casks in the room next to the dining room. There were over 30 casks fermenting in the back room while I was there. As a home brewer, this was quite impressive.
I don't know where they source their apples, which is what I'll ask next time I'm there.
If you are in the area and you need something fun to do, go here and try a flight of cider. They serve tapas (small plates) here, and I suggest the red beans and rice if they have it that day.
