Beautiful setup with a very kind staff to help my daughter build her skills and confidence on a horse. A great place to call our home barn.
Went here for equine therapy, horses are very well mannered. I love the dog and cats at the barn as well. Also enjoy looking at the cows, there was a new born calf when I last was there. The place is very serene :)
We go to Trinity Farms for therapeutic riding. The horses are gentle & patient & the instructor is knowledgeable. It provides so much on many levels - strength, confidence, balance. Definitely worth it
My daughter and I have both taken riding lessons at Trinity Farm for about 5 years. We have owned our own horse for about 4.5 of those years. I reviewed and visited several barns before trying Trinity Farm. My first concern was safety of the riders and the horses followed by quality of instruction, inclusiveness, opportunity for growth as a rider and a person and a sense of community. Trinity Farm was the only place I visited that met my criteria and I believe is reasonably priced.Riding lessons are usually 30 minutes (if private) and 45 minutes -1 hour if part of a small group. However, instruction begins with tacking the horse and preparing for the ride and untacking and caring for the horse after the ride. My 5 years of experience with the trainers is that there is a minimum of 30 minutes of actual riding instruction. However, if a student is struggling, the trainers work with that student until they reach a point where both the rider and trainer feel that the lesson has been successful.I am aware that a recent review has complained about purchasing a 5-lesson card and not receiving 5 HOURS of instruction. Unfortunately, the review offered by the author of "Buyer beware" is not in any way accurate. I can verify that the lessons are never described as "one hour" unless they are part of a group lessons. New riders ALWAYS begin with private lessons, no matter what their experience, until the trainers can evaluate the new student and determine how best to provide instruction to them. This is necessary for the safety of the rider, the horse and other riders in the arena at the same time as the new rider. I was at Trinity Farm when the child of the person authoring this negative review had their first lesson. The father indicated to the trainer that his child had ridden before and was capable of much more than what the child was able to demonstrate in the arena. As such, it was not possible to put the child in any type of group lesson. Thus, the child's lessons were 30 minutes (with additional horse husbandry instruction before and after the actual mounted lesson). In addition, I observed the parent being what I believe to be intrusive during the lesson. As a parent, it is necessary to allow the trainers to do the teaching. Also, when the weather is uncooperative, students are offered "barn lessons". These lessons provide valuable instruction and experience for riders on everything from horse massage and stretching, how to wrap legs properly, equine first aid, braiding, and other husbandry skills that true equestrians must master. Being an equestrian is NOT only about riding. It is about the entire equine experience. After 5 years at Trinity Farm, I know that safe, quality instruction are received in return for a fair price.
