Dr. Cathy M. Chapman, MD

Dr Chapman is by far the best rheumatologist, I have come across. She is extremely knowledgeable and very helpful. In my case, she did lot of research before coming up with a treatment plan and I am feeling so much better. On personal level, she is very humble.

Wonderful doctor and staff! I've been seeing Dr. Chapman for over 3 years now and she is very considerate, knowledgeable and explains her findings in great detail. The nurses and office staff are always kind and willing to work with differing schedules in my case. Since I've been a patient my flares have been minimal (2 in 3 years!). Incredible!! Dr. Chapman is very knowledgeable and proactive with treatments. It also means a lot that she always makes time to listen. Her nurses are very helpful and go above and beyond to make sure I have my medications. I’ve been with Dr. Chapman for over 6 years and I’ll be a patient for years to come!

So far my experience with dr Chapman has been very pleasant. Her office staff was nice and courteous. Dr chapman basically just reinforced what we already knew but she took the time to explain the diagnosis and answer any questions I had. She is very direct and to the point, which for me is good. I just received a life changing diagnosis, I dont want fluffy unicorns, I want real answers with a clear explanation of what to expect and she delivered. She made it clear I could call with questions and seemed genuinely interested in making sure my care plan would yield results.

Dr. Chapman practices evidence based medicine in a caring, compassionate manner. She may not be the most chatty doctor, but she stays current on research, looks at the whole person, and works with her patients to find the best treatment and minimize side effects. I really feel like she is in it for the long haul with all the patients she sees with chronic diseases. Such an asset to Memphis and the medical community!
