Tobey Park

Pretty decent compact Skatepark for beginners or advanced skaters. It has a great flow to it, nice concrete and wasn't dirty with trash on the ground. Also has a dog park right next to it blocked by a fence of course but being a dog lover I didn't mind seeing all the different breeds, they're amazing along with the owners. My only complaint is there wasn't signs directing us so we basically had to guess where it was and I couldn't find a bathroom anywhere. Skaters skate in the sun so we drink alot of water, juice, etc. Overall nice park and will visit again.

Tobey has really come into its own the past few years. It's become the only in-city sport complex. There are multiple baseball fields where leagues play softball and kickball. There's a small pitch field for rugby and Ultimate. But the 2 big additions are the skate park and sand volleyball courts.

The skate park has lots elements for your wheeled entertainment. Most of the elements are your standard low cement fares. While there's plenty of opportunity for injury, there arent a lot of high risk elements.

The volleyball courts are 3 legit sand courts surrounded by a fence. 1 net is left up by the city but the other 2 courts are "bring your own net". The local org, 901Volleyball, often brings 2 nets and runs leagues several days a week and all weekend, so finding open play is rare.

The only real negatives to the park are the lack of shade, water fountains, and restrooms. Restrooms and water are found only on the south end in a building by the baseball fields.

Over 12,000sqft of skate-able concrete. Small snake run, big vert wall, skate sculpture(Mark Nowell!), Ledges, stairs, all the goodies PACKED into a pretty small space. I avoid it when it get's crowded, especially with the little kids, as loose boards fly to often. ¡no bueno!
