  I've known KJN David Hughes for roughly 6 years now and I remain as impressed with his teaching abilities as I was when I first enrolled my son in his school. I've enjoyed it so much that now even I am a student of his. KJN David is an incredible martial artist, as evidenced by his many accomplishments, but along with that great skill, he possesses a mastery of the art of teaching. He has the ability to express himself in a manner that is tailored to his audience, from a rambunctious child to a seasoned veteran. He is very adept at teaching the finer points of Jiu-Jitsu for both sport and protection. He is very conscious of the differences and maintains exemplary skills in both areas.
  
  My 16 year old son has benefited tremendously from his time with KJN David. HIs classes are great, but even I can see immediate gains from his direct private instruction. After a session I can ask my son what he learned and he can provide details on what he learned and when he would apply it. He recognizes what went wrong in his last match and he knows how to prevent that same mistake in the future. KJN David's tutelage has helped my son win several gold medals in NAGA events including winning the SouthEast Region Men's heavyweight championship at the age of 16.
  
  I strongly recommend that anyone seriously interested in studying Jiu-Jitsu, or any related martial art, whether for sport or protection, request a private lesson with KJN David Hughes. The experience is invaluable.

  I've had numerous opportunities to work in a one-on-one setting with Kwan Jang Nim David Hughes, and I'm excited to see him expand into more private tutoring. He has a wealth of knowledge about a wide range of martial arts, from Jiu-Jitsu and groundfighting (his specialty) to kickboxing, mma, and even traditional martial arts for both combat and performance. Beyond this, though, Master Hughes excels as a problem solver, on the mat as well as in instructing and even life coaching. He can very effectively and quickly assess problem areas, give a student instruction that allows them to see immediate results, as well as equipping them with the tools to make those changes permanent.
  
  I strongly recommend taking advantage of this opportunity, both to current students at Ernie Reyes' World Martial Arts of Gallatin, and to anyone outside who would like to work with one of the few Jiu-Jitsu masters whose teaching skills match his martial arts skills.
